Print Your Pancakes

My middle school bought this pancake bot 3 years ago after our Maker Space campaign. For the past 2 years we have been unable to use it because our tech department will not allow the driver download (or whatever it is that runs the program). Is there a 2.0 way to run it? Or an app that students could get on their chromebooks?
  • Thomas Daniel Meeks I would love to know if you got the PancakeBot up and running and how the class went.
  • Miguel Valenzuela Hi Penny,
I am a phone call away to answer questions. Please email me at and we can set up a time to talk. We can even do a skype call with your class!
  • Penny Thanks so much for your reply. I will get my team to help me work through this and see if we can get it going.
  • Miguel Valenzuela Hi Penny. I am sorry to hear about this. What version do you have? If you have a short lid on the bottle, it is probably a 1.0, if it has a tall lid, it is a 2.0.
Regardless, the bot itself does not need the computer to run it. You can copy the file that I have attached here to create a spiral pancake.
I have also created a spiral generator online that allows you to download the printable "GCODE" file so you can experiment with that also.
Regarding your issue with IT, I am not sure of the actual requirements for their download.
It is best if you have them contact and cc me at to see if I can help from there. They can also post on the forum here and I will try to resolve it.
In the meantime, I don't know what else to do except possibly ask if the students want PancakeBot homework, and they can download the software on their home machines, and email you the GCODE files. They can watch the quickstart video and learn how it works also.
Let me know if this helps and I will do my best to get you up and running.
